Eye Care

Donate from as little as £5 a month to support our appeal

It has been estimated that there are 253 million visually impaired people, and 36 million are blind.

A rapidly ageing population means that the impact of vision loss is expected to rise. Many people who are visually impaired face a lifetime of inequality, since they often have poorer health and face barriers to education and employment as a consequence.

But it needn’t be like this; for the past 15 years, ILM UK has been providing free, comprehensive eye-care at its centrepiece hospital in Pakistan and five optometry centres, throughout South Asia and Africa.

At our Eye Care centres we offer screening for the early detection of eye illnesses, comprehensive advice and full support for patients, their families and carers. We provide regular eye surgeries and treatment for patients who cannot afford to pay the cost of such medication.

As our reputation spreads, the demand on our aid is increasing rapidly. We are meeting this demand by investing further in essential resources and staff. We can only carry out this valuable work with your help, please donate now to enable someone to see and bring joy into their life.

How you can help:

Donate from as little as £5 a month to support our Caring for the blind appeal.

Provide an eye test for £5

Provide eye operations for £30 per eye

Single or monthly donations of any amount will help towards our ongoing running costs of our clinics and centres. It will also help us start new mobile clinics, and build new centres.
