The tragic news of the recent fire at Cox's Bazaar Refugee Camp may have reached you, which unfortunately has placed an estimated 12,000 Rohingya refugees without shelter and basic necessities once more.
This it yet again another stark reminder that humanitarian actors must do more to improve conditions at the camp and aid the Rohingya community who have endured repeated fires due to their living conditions.
The use of flammable materials such bamboo and tarpaulin have become pervasive, and cramped conditions have allowed fires to spread rapidly, resulting in the events that we are witnessing today.
ILM has built a strong ground team who have been delivering aid to this community over the years and is now actively conducting relief efforts which include:
- Emergency food packs for victims -£60
- Medical aid - Delivering water supplies - £100
- Safe shelter - £175
- Medical Aid Fund - £350
- The bundle - shelter, food supplies, clean water supplies, clothes, bedding, and family necessities - £600
